The collector's ritual: choosing a watch for the day.

Winter 20263 min 閲覧中Robert Taylor エディトリアル

The day of a serious collector tends to start in the same place — at the cabinet. Doors open, the choice is made, the watch is closed in around the wrist before the second cup of coffee. It is a small ritual but it sets a tone.

A good winder participates in this ritual without intruding on it. It is quiet, and reliably so. It does not announce itself. The watches inside are exactly where they were left, ready to wear, on the correct rhythm.

Everything Robert Taylor designs is shaped around this idea. A bedroom-suitable acoustic floor. Independent modules that do not require thought once set. Materials that age in step with the watches they hold.

A collection should not feel like luggage. It should feel like a small library — alphabetised by the way you wear them.
