The material vocabulary.
Every surface, every interior, every mechanism is chosen for how it ages — and for the kind of room it will rest in.
Surface.
Piano Lacquer
Hand-polished deep mirror finish. Multiple layers, sanded between each, finished to a dust-free atelier standard.
Walnut Veneer
Quarter-sawn, oil-rubbed. Selected for tight, even grain that ages quietly across decades.
Interior.
Aniline Leather
Saddle-tanned with natural grain visible. Develops a patina rather than wearing down.
Alcantara Suede
Cushioned interior, watch-safe, free of harsh adhesives that age into yellowing.
Display.
Tempered Glass
Anti-reflective treatment on the inside face. Reads the watch, not the room behind you.
Security.
Metal Locking
Reinforced bolt mechanism with brass key. Standard across cabinet models.
Biometric Lock
Fingerprint scanner on the Private series. Up to twelve registered prints with a master override.
Accent.
Carbon Fibre
Brooklands collection accent. Hand-laid, gloss-set into the lacquer.
Four steps from stock to despatch.
The compressed process every cabinet passes through, from raw materials to under-plate stamp.
- 01Select
Stock from named suppliers.
Walnut from a single mill. Leather from a saddle tanner. Glass from an automotive optics supplier. Same supplier, every batch.
- 02Cut
Bench-fitted.
Frames are cut and dry-fitted at the London bench. Nothing is assembled before tolerances are checked by hand.
- 03Finish
Polished, oil-rubbed.
Piano lacquer is layered and hand-polished between coats. Walnut is sanded to 1200 grit then oil-rubbed.
- 04Regulate
Reference rig sign-off.
Drive is regulated against the reference rig. The under-plate is stamped with the cabinet's individual reference.
A cabinet should age in step with the watches inside it. That is the only standard we hold material choices to.
